The Zoom option is offered the day before (Thursday) for faculty that are unable to attend the in-person event, but still wish to participate in the conversation. This month's discussion topic is Navigating Today's Teaching and Research Landscape This discussion offers a space to reflect on the evolving landscape of teaching and research. Faculty are invited to share their experiences, questions, and concerns in a collegial setting focused on mutual understanding. Representatives from Faculty Affairs and the Division of Research will be present to listen and engage in dialogue. Together, we'll explore how current dynamics are shaping academic work and identify opportunities to support one another.

Beyond improving instructional practices, the session will showcase practical AI applications to streamline everyday workflows, optimize time management, accelerate feedback, and foster innovation. Guided demonstrations from faculty of all ranks will support you in developing strategies for ethical and effective AI adoption in your professional roles, so bring your laptop. This session is tailored to faculty who have a curiosity about using AI or who are using AI and want to learn new ideas from colleagues. - 5:00 PM2hAuditions for 'The Post-America Variety Show'Set in a post-apocalyptic College Station, "The Post-America Variety Show" is a new variety extravaganza that takes a nostalgic look back at a time that never was: the Roaring 2020s, a time when people from different points of view were able to set aside their differences, come together, yell and fight, but also laugh. Enjoy singing and dancing, original music and choreography, comedy and more, all created by Texas A&M students. Prepare one to two minutes to showcase talent of any kind. Creative exercises with a partner will also be a part of the audition. Dress in comfortable clothes. Auditions will be in the Black Box Theater in the Liberal Arts and Arts and Humanities Building. The production is Nov. 20-21 at 7 p.m. at Rudder Theatre. Tickets will be available at the MSC Box Office.
- 5:00 PM2hSpirited LearningEach month, the event celebrates Texas Horticulture and feature a different Texas winery and welcomes their representatives to campus. Representatives are on hand to chat with participants, share information about their business, and offer a tasting of their products and select wines during the event. This month's featured winery is Messina Hof Winery. Members from the featured horticulture businesses will be available from 7:30-9 p.m. at Gate 12 Bar and Grill to share more about their wines. Please feel free to make a reservation and join us after the event to enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience. Please note the Gate 12 event is not a hosted event, and you will need to purchase your own meal. Reveille X will also be making an appearance at this month's Spirited Learning. An opportunity to have your picture taken with her will be available towards the beginning of the event. - 5:30 PM1h 30mGallery Talk: 80th Anniversary of the End of WWIIJoin us for this gallery talk and reception, and view our current exhibition, "Eyewitness to Conflict: Prints Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the End of WWII." After serving as head of the Air Force Art Collection and organizing a multi-service tribute to honor the combat artists of WWII, Sheryl Fiegel wanted to create a permanent legacy to honor the men and women who served during the greatest conflict of the 20th century. Over a 25-year period, she collected prints by well-known American artists who depicted the home front and the battlefront during WWII through etchings, lithographs and silkscreens.
