U.S. Economy & Monetary Policy with Dr. Jim Bullard
At 6 PM on Wednesday, April 23, Dr. Jim Bullard will discuss monetary policy in the U.S. to students, faculty, staff and the community. The presentation, hosted by the Private Enterprise Research Center, will be held at the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center at Texas A&M University. The reception will begin at 5:30 PM. James "Jim" Bullard is the Dean of the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business at Purdue University. Previously, he served 15 years as the president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and as an active member of the Federal Open Market Committee – charged with guiding monetary policy in the United States. Bullard is co-editor of the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, a member of the editorial advisory board of the National Institute Economic Review and a member of the Central Bank Research Association's senior council. He was ranked as the seventh-most influential economist in the world in 2014. Bullard's research focuses on monetary policy, inflation/deflation, and macroeconomic stability. His publications have appeared in premier journals, including the American Economic Review; the Journal of Monetary Economics; Macroeconomic Dynamics; and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking.
