- Sep 911:00 AMMaker Zone: Sewing with Vikings 101Beginners with little to no experience are invited to sign up for an introduction to our Husqvarna Viking sewing machines available to use in The Maker Zone. You'll get to know the parts of the machine, learn what all the different knobs are for, get it set up for a sewing session, practice sewing different patterns to get a feel for how to drive it, go over some basic troubleshooting strategies, and then put your new knowledge to work making a small tote or crossbody bag to take home. All materials provided.If you are more than 5 minutes late for the class, you may lose your seat. - Sep 911:30 AMMaker Zone: Intro to KnittingIn this Intro to Knitting workshop, you will learn how to cast on, the basic knit stitch, and how to bind off. These three skills are the foundations of any knitting project. Participants will be provided with the yarn and tools to learn the skills during the workshop. If you want to have a project to keep, participants are encouraged to bring their own Size 13 knitting needles and one skein of Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn.If you are more than 5 minutes late for the class, you may lose your seat.
