- Feb 6–7Invent for the Planet - Part IInvent for the Planet (IFTP) 2025 will tackle some of the world's biggest challenges such as environmental affairs, energy solutions and resource equity. Participate alongside universities worldwide as you dive into researching your chosen need statement, build a prototype, and on the final day, present to a panel of judges. Three teams from each local event are selected as winners with the opportunity to go on to compete for the world title! Registration is now closed. - Feb 6–7Regional Basketball Qualifier TournamentWhat: NIRSA Regional Basketball Qualifier TournamentWhen: Feb. 7 (evening), Feb. 8 (afternoon), and Feb. 9 (early afternoon)Where: Student Rec Center Courts 3 and 4Teams: Games are played 5v5, with a minimum of 3 players needed to start and finish a gameTournament Divisions: Men's, Women's.Schedule and Format: Depends on the number of participating teams. If 1 team signs up in a division, we will refund your entry and you will be declared the winning team. If 2 or 3 teams sign up, you will be guaranteed at least 2 games. If 4-8 teams sign up, you will be guaranteed at least 3 games.Entry Fee: $150/teamOther: Maximum of 8 teams per division. If there are more than 8 teams on a waitlist for a given division, we will use internal criteria to determine which teams are selected to participatePrize: The winning team of each league will have their entry fee funded for the NIRSA Regional Basketball Tournament at Texas A&M Corpus Christi on February 21-23, 2025.
- Feb 711:00 AMConsent CupcakesConsent Cupcakes is a fun and interactive tabling event where students can enjoy free cupcakes — with a catch! To receive a cupcake, participants must practice asking for consent. This engaging activity highlights the importance of respecting boundaries and reinforces the value of seeking and giving consent in everyday interactions. Stop by, grab a cupcake and learn how something as simple as asking can make a big difference.
