- Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown Moved to Friday After ThanksgivingBRYAN-COLLEGE STATION — The annual Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown football rivalry game between Texas A&M and Texas will move from Saturday, Nov. 29 to Friday, Nov. 28 in Austin for 2025. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m., the schools announced Thursday. The 2024 renewal was played at Kyle Field on Saturday, Nov. 30 with 109,028 in attendance.
