Students earning two Undergraduate Degrees will attend the ceremony for their primary degree. Students pursuing a combination program will attend the ceremony for the higher level degree (Example – if you are earning a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree, you would attend the ceremony for the Master’s degree).
Unless otherwise stated on the graduation schedule, degree candidates should arrive an hour before their ceremony begins. Check-in will take place at the North Entry of Reed Arena. Those that have not checked in thirty minutes prior to the start of the ceremony will be marked as absent and not announced in the ceremony.
Wondering where to go for graduation? Line formation? Graduates should enter through the North Entry of Reed Arena. Please visit the What to Expect, Day Of page for graduation day details for the degree candidates.
Congratulations! Yes, those graduating with honors will be acknowledged at commencement by gold-colored honor stoles. Stoles for honor graduates will be distributed during check-in before graduation. Additional information may be found on the Graduating with Honors page of the graduation website.
No. Graduates are expected to keep their personal items with them at all times. For essentials, such as phones and wallets, graduates may bring a small fanny pack or clear bag to wear under their regalia to store these items.
Degree candidates will receive their diploma after the ceremony via mail as long as they have submitted their graduation application, have met all degree requirements, and have cleared any financial obligations owed to the university. These students who pass the initial clearance can expect their diploma to ship two to three weeks after graduation.
Students who clear after the initial clearance and before the final clearance deadline can expect their diploma to ship based on the scheduled posted to the Diploma Information page. An email with tracking information will be sent to the graduate’s Texas A&M email account once the diploma ships.
