Bridging the Gap between the Public and Academia: A Discussion on Public-Facing Humanities Research

Thursday, November 14, 2024 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Location
    Melbern G. Glasscock Building
  • Description
The Immigration, Migration, & Ethnicity Working Group is proud to present, "Bridging the Gap between the Public and Academia: A Discussion on Public-Facing Humanities Research." This meeting will include presentations by Dr. Sarah McNamara (History Department), Dr. Regina Mills (English Department), and Dr. Shae Smith Cox (History Department). There will be an open discussion amongst students and the faculty presenters on bringing academic research to the public sphere. We hope this open discussion led by these presenters, with the background of their own work and public influence, will help students think about making their humanities research permeate beyond the academic sphere. There will also be free food!
