The Public Service Mixer is a chance for students and public service organizations alike to expand their professional networks. This event allows non-profits, AmeriCorps organizations, and local, state, and federal government agencies to learn more about the talented pool of students that Texas A&M has to offer. Also, students will have the ability to learn more about these organizations and how to enter these industries. There will be a tabling aspect and an informal networking aspect.

During Invent for the Planet (https://engineering.tamu.edu/student-life/aggies-invent/events/invent-for-the-planet/index.html) (IFTP), we tackle some of the world's biggest challenges, such as environmental affairs, energy solutions, improving developing nations and resource equity. Each participating university organizes a local Invent for the Planet weekend which follows our Aggies Invent (https://engineering.tamu.edu/student-life/aggies-invent/index.html) format — teams are formed based on similar interests in a need statement. The teams research the topic, build a simple prototype, and on the final day, put together a video and present their solutions to a panel of judges.
