Counselor Connect offers Texas A&M University students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the counseling process and resources within University Health Services. Students can pick from various activities to participate in while interacting with counselors, creating an informal and laid-back environment. During these 15-minute sessions, students will learn strategies for self-care that can improve any area in their lives! Counselor Connect aims to reduce the stigma around mental health and create a safe space on campus for connection. Although this is NOT an individual counseling session, this is an opportunity to engage with a mental health professional and discuss strategies for self-care in order to give you the tools to achieve your academic goals. By attending the Counselor Connect event, students acknowledge that University Health Services cannot guarantee the confidentiality of the conversations that occur during each event.

This workshop focuses on identifying and applying to MBA programs. Topics will include:Differences between various MBA tracks, including joint programs MBA applications and application cycles Writing a resume for an MBA application Funding an MBA Determining when to pursue an MBA

Participants will learn how to prepare for interviews, strategies for answering standard interview and behavioral interview questions, and tailoring their research for an academic presentation. The importance of researching the university and department to understand their recruiting needs before the interview will be stressed to help demonstrate that you would be a great addition to their team!
